Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, modify, & install HVAC equipment including refrigeration & air conditioning compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers, water cooling towers, forced air converter units, pumps, automatic & hand valves, expansion valves, & capillary tubes.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating, & ventilation units, including boilers, gas, & electrically operated air conditioning equipment, & make necessary adjustments or repairs: service & repair evaporative coolers.
- Repair or replace defective parts in units & equipment & their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, pressure controls, safety valves, & automatic gas valves.
- Operate various hand & power tools, welder torches, vacuum pumps, test equipment utilized in the trade, & a motor vehicle; maintain equipment effectively & in safe working condition; maintain parts & tool inventory.
- Perform skilled electrical maintenance work during the repair, installation, & alteration of HVAC equipment & components, timers, motors, & wiring systems as needed; connect motors to control panels.
- Test & examine boiler operations, observing meter & pressure gauges; conduct boiler water quality test & treatment; adjust boiler burner combustion.
- Install & calibrate systems: install copper tubing & repair pipes & tubing as necessary; test joints & insulate pipes of refrigeration & air conditioning systems, flush boilers, descale tubing; rebuild pressure & temperature safety valves & pumps.
- Install, rebuild, or repair fans, motors, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, valves, controls, gaskets, & other equipment as necessary.
- Perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties during the inspection, repair, installation, & alteration of District heating, ventilation, air conditioning, & refrigeration systems & related equipment & facilities.
- Calibrate systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance & routine servicing of equipment.
- Diagnose defects, install, repair, & maintain heating, ventilation, refrigeration, & air conditioning units.
- Follow oral & written instructions.
- Communicate effectively orally & in writing.
- Work cooperatively with others & be able to work independently with little direction.
- Meet schedule timelines.
- Maintain routine time, labor, material, & inventory records.
Requirements
Work Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime

2 years of documented HVAC journeyman-level operation, maintenance, & repair experience in the HVAC & Refrigeration trade

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting with the installation of HVAC systems in commercial & residential centers
- Installing, maintaining & repairing roof units for heating & A/C for residential & commercial buildings
- Operate hand & power tools needed for HVAC installation
- Cleaning & replacing the air ducts
- Follow instructions for choosing & delivering tools, materials & supplies from job site
- Make sure that tools, materials, & equipment are in good working condition
- Complete preventive maintenance on HVAC systems & related equipment
- Provide excellent customer service
- Make sure HVAC systems remain compliant with industry-standard & regulations
- Identify & report items needing repair in & around the office & shop
- Maintain equipment used for housekeeping purposes.
- Pick up & dispose of exterior trash & debris
- Groundskeeping duties including snow removal during winter months
- Perform other appropriate & reasonably required duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Management &/or Owner.
- Comply with ALL SAFETY RULES
- Keep a neat & clean appearance including Company property & uniform
