Our indoor air quality services are designed to maximize your comfort year-round.

Air Filtration Systems

We can integrate home air filtration systems into your HVAC unit to reduce airborne dust, fine particles, and common allergens. We are an authorized Carrier dealer and can recommend whole-home air filtration systems to capture contaminants before they circulate.

Air Purification

Our technicians can recommend an air purification system that targets specific airborne particles and contaminant concerns. If necessary, we can install Carrier air purifiers to target particulate matter so your family can breathe cleaner air.

Humidity Control

We can recommend various solutions to alleviate dry indoor air and balance moisture. Our technicians can install AprilAire steam humidifiers and AprilAire fan-driven humidifiers so your whole home will be more comfortable during the winter and dry seasons.

Ventilation

Our technicians can recommend or evaluate an existing home ventilation system so that any outside air is free of pollutants. We can install whole-house ventilation systems, such as HERO heat recovery ventilators, for homes with stagnant or poorly ventilated air.

Duct Cleaning, Sanitization, and Sealing

Comfort Solutions offers personalized duct cleaning, sanitization, and sealing. These services can address duct-related airflow issues, as well as odors and other indoor air concerns. We recommend duct sanitization after every cleaning.

Indoor Air Quality Testing & Assessment

Before we recommend indoor air quality solutions, we may perform an assessment.

Our assessment may include reviewing airflow, current unit or HVAC air purifier, ductwork, ventilation, filters, humidity, and other factors that may contribute to your air quality concern. From here, our technicians will deliver their recommendations and provide an upfront estimate.

Some common reasons for air quality issues include stagnant air, poor ventilation, mold, and airborne allergens.

With our testing and assessment, we can determine whether an equipment installation, airflow improvements, ventilation, filtration, or another solution may be appropriate.

Our technicians are NATE-certified and hold the necessary licenses to perform IAQ assessments, installations, duct cleaning, and other services.

Comfort Solutions uses static pressure testing to evaluate airflow and pressure within your HVAC system. We may recommend static pressure testing depending on the customer’s concerns and our technician’s evaluation, though it is not always mandatory. We only perform lab-based testing when the customer requests and schedules it.

1. Start With an Estimate or Dispatch Appointment

We will recommend a Dispatch or Estimate visit based on your situation, confirmed during your initial call:

  • Dispatch: Recommended when a customer is trying to solve an immediate issue.
  • Estimate: Best when the customer is exploring a long-term solution, improvement to their current system, or a unit upgrade.
2. Schedule Your Appointment

We’ll send appointment details and reminders by text or email.

3. Discuss Your Concerns With the Technician

Our technicians will listen to your concerns and desired outcomes, and will walk through your home to assess your air quality. Common IAQ concerns include:

  • Poor airflow
  • Stagnant air
  • Mold
  • Outdoor air concerns (such as smoke)
  • Specific allergens
4. Testing and Evaluation When Necessary

We will perform static pressure testing when appropriate. During our indoor air quality testing services, our technician will evaluate relevant factors, including your HVAC system and airflow equipment.

5. Resolve the Issue or Develop a Recommendation

If we can resolve the issue during the dispatch appointment without additional parts, products, or work, our technicians may address it on the spot. But if we need to perform additional work, our technician will discuss their recommendations and pricing with you.

6. Estimate and Follow-Up

We at Comfort Solutions will prepare and send the estimate to the customer. We will schedule a follow-up appointment when necessary.

Not Sure Which IAQ Solution You Need?

Knowing the right solution for your home depends on your existing HVAC system, airflow, and your specific IAQ concerns. Understand that IAQ symptoms aren’t proof of a single issue, but they can help us identify what needs to be fixed.

  • Noticeable dust build-up? Dust build-up may indicate inadequate filtration, leaky ductwork, or restricted airflow. We may recommend upgrading your filter or sealing your ducts to filter airborne particles.
  • Frequent allergy symptoms? If you struggle with pet dander or pollen allergies, you may need an upgraded filter or a whole-home air purifier to capture fine particles.
  • Dry skin or sore throat? Dry air may mean you need to manage the humidity in your home, and we may recommend an AprilAire whole-home humidifier. We also sell and install dehumidifiers if the air is too moist.
  • Stale air or lingering odors? Odors in your home as well as stagnant or stale air may indicate poor ventilation and a lack of fresh air. We may recommend installing a Fantech HERO ventilation system to bring more fresh air indoors.
